The Closing of Saab Will Remove New 9-5 and 9-3 Models

The Saab seems to be winding down by General Motors, whatever the reasons might be but the closing of this brand will be very disastrous for the two upcoming models the 9-5 and 9-3. The new 9-5 sedan and the replacement plan for the 9-3 model will get removed from the automobile history of the world. Nick Reilly, boss of GM’s new Opel/Vauxhall operation in Europe discussed on this plans and predicts that “If Saab closes, the new 9-5 and 9-3 will go and the cost absorbed in the winding-down charge” and that will be a really disappointing thing.

Due to heavy charges ranging range $72 million and $145 million GM is planning to sell Saab and this sale will affect the models announced to be coming from the platform of Saab. Earlier we were having doubts on the sale of Saab but the GM’s recent action shows the whole world that this brand is going to move away from GM’s hands. Now the official announcement by GM says that they have appointed two officials to wind down Saab and this winding would on the other hand wind down 9-5 and 9-3 forever.
